Is this safe?

Is it safe to put gas container in your turnk? Those little 5 gallons of gas for just incase you run out of gas?

Oops realize I spelt "trunk" wrong. Ok, thanx. Would it be safe to put it in the back seat? Well, the reason is because I'll be driving to Texas, and just afraid that I might get lost or something and atleast I would have some spare gas with me.

It is the fumes man.....they build up in an compartment....fumes are highly volatile....don't do it....and if you do....drive way around San Antonio OK

Sounds good to me, I'll stay as far away from San Antonio for you, and when you hear about a car exploding, that's me!! Hahaa, just kidding. All right, I won't be bringing gas along.
