New valve springs w/stock cam question

I plan on a cam swap over the Fall/Winter and know that as part of that I'll need new valvesprings.

The new cam is 226/226 w/.595" lift on intake and exhaust.

The springs will be PAC-1218's. https://securehost98.hrwebservices.n...&productId=183

Can I install springs ahead of time, or would they be too stiff for stock cam?

The car has 111,000 miles, so I'm sure new springs would be a help no matter if I swap cams or not, but don't want to hurt anything by having springs that are too heavy, or stiff, or whatever the term is...

    Thanks.

    I don't see why not.

But it would be easier to just do it all at once.

it'll be fine for a stock cam.

The only concern I would have is the stock pushrods, but I also know of some aftermarket vendors who don't swap pushrods when a cam change is done so you will likely be OK.
