    Post header install questions

I finished the header install on my 02 ws6, and, have found that there are now a few other things that i must address before the project is totally complete.

    1) the steering knuckle bolt hits the headers, have people been replacing the bolt or doing the ball peen tap on the header?

    2) I have a p0300 code for random misfires, so I'll need to get that figured out.

    3) the car feels doggish, undoubtedly related to the above.

    4) might be installing high flow cats because Im pretty sure I could blend in at a cup race now.

What headers do you have that hit the steering knuckle?

That and the car might feel slow because of the tune being off also. Your probably running pretty rich right now. I took the steering knuckle off everytime to get them in the car but never had them hit after everything was all stitched up.

Well I figured out the sluggishness lol. As it turns outs Trans Am's run better on 8 cylinders than 7. Had left the passenger rear plug unplugged. As for the steering knuckle, it isnt the knuckle, but above the knuckle there is a mounting bolt that holds the knuckle in place on the steering shaft, and the bolt head barely scrapes the tube off of the number 6 cyl. you can turn the wheel right past it, just feel the bump as it goes by.
