    02 lifts

I bought sone new strong arm lifts for the trunk. They are worthless, do they make lifts that will pop the lid open?

Probably not. The lid is rather heavy and when closed, the lifts are positioned at an angle with little leverage. I have never seen a convertible lid that would actually pop up beyond the unlocked position.

Other problem is the release mechanism on the 02s aren't that great. I have not done it but a few of the guys on here have I believe. I think if you add a second or stronger spring to the release the lid will pop open easier. But as for opening completely by itself you won't get that like stated above they are just at the wrong angle for it.

^^ The "added spring trick" is the only way to get it to pop open. Very easy to do.
