projector headlights
what is everyone's take on these headlights?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...3756.m14.l1318
are there any better projector headlights out there? after riding in my friends audi a6 i decided that i really like the light output in the projectors and i know that i can get them on ebay for a decent price. and since i need to replace my headlight housings because they are etched and in rough shape i figure might as well.

my question for you is do you like the way projector beam light looks or the way HID looks?
Just throwing on some projectors isnt gonng do that much...

what do you mean exactly? there was a ton more light coming out of my friends lights with projectors than i have and have gotten out of conventional bulbs. aside from the more light output colors were brighter and shapes were more distinct than with conventional bulbs. at least they were to my eyes in the dark. that's why i was looking at them.

I guess what im asking is "are you sure that the reason you liked your buddies headlights isnt because they were projector beam, but because he had HID?"
Im assuming u liked the HID part of his lights in reality... and simply swaping over to projector beam isnt going to give you results you want...

predator is rite if you by the the projector headlights that already come inthe housing they do not alway produce hid quality lighting . you should ask if the bulb inside the projector itself is an hid bulb then, and if it is you will get the crisp white bluish tint you are lookin for. if not it will just be the the same conventional lite in a projector bulb

HID lights are 100 times better than projectors. If I didn't have pop up headlights I'd do them. Just projectors are a waste though.

you have to be careful when you are looking into HIDs also... because most reflectors (wheter it be projectors or coventional) are designed for conventional filiment lighting. The problem with that is HIDs dont have a point source (more of the bulb iluminates because it is a gas ilumination not a filiment ilumination...) this causes scattering of the light and thats y alot of HID conversions are illegal or just plain rude... HIDs really need to have a nice crisp cut off line when on low beam... Ill try to find a good pic...

Looks great! What are you using for driving lights? It's hard to see.
