dash cap
installed a dash cap some time ago. about every six months or so the silicone lets lose and i have clean everything up and reglue. i live in southwest florida where its always hot and the car sits in the employee parking lot 4 days a week. As i start work late the dash only gets a couple of hours of direct sunlight. The rest of the time its garaged. i use 100% silicone as directed by the manufacturer. Is there a solution to this? the dash cap from above gauges to the end of the radio is the only part that comes loose. thanks for your input

I presume it is an adhesive silicone that you are utilizing? I believe that there is a difference between that and regular silicone. Wiping stuff down with denatured alcohol beforehand?

Florida sun is a cruel bitch to cars. If the surfaces were clean and it still let go then some other type of adhesive is probably warranted.
