220K Mile old LS1 Coil Packs

So...... the 6.0 is still using the WS6's original coil-packs...... at over 220,000 miles.

415 RWHP with a lopey cam'

What's the likelihood of these old coils still being up to the job for this car?

Should be ok. Aftermarket coils are not worth the price. if you really want to upgrade go with truck coils.

I was more concerned with higher mileage, thermal cycling, and age (21 years this month!), that the output of the OG coils may be less than optimal. Gas mileage around town is in the dumpster, even when I am treating it mildly. Off-idle take off is a little bit less than perfect too, although I was told that the engine and cam setup work drive better with a set of 4.11:1 gears but thats several dollars away.

If I was to replace the coils, I would do it with another set of OEM?s, unless there is a better option, for the same ballpark price.
