    you can do the !WIRE hide mod to the drivers side to conceal the cable, works about the sam way just smaller hole

    damn. thats a big jump.
    will i need other mods/parts for the LS6 oil pump? or a tune possibly?

    Anything that changes air or fuel delivery to the engine...a tune is recommended.

    Ex: Cam/heads that have different flow/MAF/headers/supercharger/turbo/Nitrous/etc.

    Performance mods that don't necessarily need a tune: exhaust/lid.

    Double roller timing chain and the LS6 Oil Pump O-ring.

    I looked into this and the OEWheels are within 1lb (some higher, some lower) than factory wheels of the same size, so yes a 18x10.5" rim is heavier than a 16x8" but about the same as a factory GM corvette 18x10.5" rim. if you want exact numbers do a search on corvette wheel weights, there are a lot of OCD corvette owners who have these numbers all listed out right down to what valve stems weigh more than others

    well im considering buying two sets of oem c5 z06 and just selling the rears off both sets so that i can stay with 17s

    ? why not just buy 4x 17" If I understand correctly (and you are talking about OEM GM wheels) I'm pretty sure you buy them by the rim, no price difference in a set. If you're talking about oewheels they have 4x17" wheel sets.

    well i dont want the rivets. and chrome wouldnt be the best idea being indiana winters and rock roads.
    i would like the oem however i may just get the black with chrome li[ and paint the lip black as well
