Red- 2004 Silverado SS
Transmission
Hello , I'm new to the site. I have a 2004 Silverado SS which I had the rear main seal replaced and the gentleman at the shop cut the cooler lines because he couldn't get the clips off. He the spliced in rubber hose ( didn't find out till the wife went to work the next day and it burst. Metal in fluid . It is a 4L85-E . I'm looking for recommendations on what to do should I have it rebuilt or go another direction?
Thanks in advance

The number one thing that comes to mind is have you talked to the shop that did the ream main seal and cut the cooler lines? It was their cutting of the cooler lines that created this problem, they should be liable for the damage.
As far as the repair, is it a lot of metal, or little? Chunks or fine material? Once/if you fixed the lines does it drive normally?SLP Air Lid/Smooth Bellows

Thank you for responding. I did talk to the shop and I took it to another shop to be rebuilt. The gentleman at the shop that rebuilt it said the bolts on the transmission were finger tight and some were missing. I just picked it up this morning and we seem to be good again.
