blue- 2003 Chevy Express 3500
Knight,
Outstanding Post.
Maybe you are able to clarify a parts problem I am having. I need to replace the IAC on my van.
It revolves around the year, engine, and throttle body ... maybe more I have nor tripped over yet.
The rub is that an IAC IDed by the vehicle and engine information does not exist.
GM parts identifies the throttle body, TPS and IAC as a single assembled part and it is discontinued. Aftermarket Throttle bodies are unavailable and some do (did) not come with an IAC.
Fitment:
2003 Chevrolet Express 3500 Vortec 6000, LQ4 6.0L V8 MFI LS Gen III. All this is stock as far as I can tell from the numbers and materials used on the block and head. The throttle body is cable style having a 94mm air inlet
The only part that looks like it will Not Just 'might work' is a Holley, 543-34. This I base on the Sniper and Holley EFi throttle bodies it fits and an obscure reference I found searching for the existing parts #.
To avoid boring you to tears with all I have done, do you have a recommendation? Or reason why this IAC is MIA ... before I go junk yard?
What other information might you want?
