    How Much boost is too much boost

    Hi im looking at buying a 2000 Camaro 3.8 V6 5 speed with a little over 114000 miles on it, how much boost would be too much for it how what size turbos would be recommended for a twin turbo setup and injectors?

    But seriously. I've seen several single and twin turbo V6 Firebirds ripping it up at the track on Youtube.

    I would be talking with a tuner first, it's possible that they've been down this road before and can offer suggestions. Not too many guys on here have done it to a V6 here.


    I do know the 3800 LOVES boost.


    Some other areas you're going to need to look at in addition to just the engine is transmission, rear end and suspension. High HP & TQ will always find the weakest link in the drivetrain.

    10 to 15 pounds will be plenty of fun. Bottom end won't care unless the tune is on the ragged edge and you get bad fuel
    I'd look into Tim King's old Firebird for your answers about twins as I can't remember what he used or what Matt M used on his Grand Prix
