    Why no SLP

I have SLP long tubes installed on my 02 TA and when people are asking which LT to get everyone says stay away from SLP. Just wondering why?

Well I can live with that since they were already installed. Was hopeing it was not performance related at all.

I don't quite get the "over-rated" part of it. I hear that often. Most aftermarket companies 'over-rate' their products to some point.

Normally longtubes pick up 15RWHP...more with tune.

I remember SLP making claims of 'up to 60HP' with their longtubes. Talk about a fake out to noob modders.

wow...Like said many companies over-rate their parts, but 60hp for headers, well that's just stupid.

They are not bad. Heck I have Mac Mid length that were already on my car and I just went 12.22@112 with a not so good 1.79 60 ft. I just have a custom cam and factory heads that have had a few things done to them. I might change sometime to something different but I am going to get into the 11's with this set up first. Leave em on and go from there.

I'm guessing they probably based those gains off of a built heads/cam car with......stock manifolds before the long-tubes???

Medium I guess. 228/236,588/578 114 I was hitting the rev limiter so after a few adjustments it should be better next time. I have an auto with a 3400 stall and a 3.73 12 bolt.

I would enjoy seeing SLP in bankruptcy and out of this industry. The way they treat customers is unacceptable and this is from 2 very bad personal experiences with them. On top of that, their products are junk performance wise.

That pic next to the kooks is just funny. lol

+ 1 for bad customer service. I also have had bad experience with the company, they would not even correct a bad molded lid for me that would not seal worth a damn.... a lid it wasnt like they were losing money on a lid.
