Sarge- Question? I’m new to the site but have read a lot of your posts regarding PCV delete. I just installed a Vararam Intake on my Goat and because I have a Fast intake, I had to perform a lot of cutting on the intake angle tube to get it to fit right. Because I had to cut it so short, the PCV line that connects in font of the throttle body had to go. I connected that PCV line to my inlet on my catch can to temporally vent the crankcase, hoping that any residue or oil would be collected in my catch can. Will this work till my breather for my valve cover comes in? Or am I doing more bad then good right now? In my crazy mind it seems like it should work, but I’m no expert. I should be getting my vent cap for the valve cover soon, and plan on capping off the PCV valve once I install it. I would just like to hear your take on it.

I also welcome any other input from experts out there!

It is unmetered air if your still running a MAF and not a SD tune.

excuse my ignorance but im not sure what exactly that means. Can you hook a brother up?

Your MAF meters the inflow of air and adjust your fuel/air ratio....when you introduce unmetered air you run lean as the MAF never sees that air from the crank going directly into the TB via the CC.

Got it Sarge, makes sense. Does that also go for the catch can valley too? Or is that Air already accounted for? Thanks for the guidance. Went with the external mini filter setup. Works like a champ.

Read the whole thread. Vent the driver side valve cover to a breather and inline seperator. Install the catch can. Cap the passenger side valve cover and the nipple on the throttle body. Install a breather cap on the oil fill.

Questions:
1. Nothing is done to the MAF?
2. No need for a tune afterwards?
3. Nobody who has done this correctly gets codes?
4. A/F mixture is compensated for by the ECM and o2 sensors?
5. We are not introducing un-metered air, right?

Ill leave it at that for now and wait for answers. Thanks.
