this kid at my school put an exhaust on his 4 liter, and i think it sounds like a whale fart. v-6's don't sound good. end of story. you can tuck 33's no problem on the 4x4 version. look into like a 2 or 3 inch body lift. they cost like $100, and will raise your truck enough to tuck 35's with no problems. first mod i would do is all the intake stuff. or you could put new gearing in it, and make it feel like you just picked up 50 hp. I am pretty sure your truck came with either a 3.73, or 4.10 swap in a 4.56, and 33's and you'll scoot pretty good.

Cheap budget? Go with the body lift for now. Body doesn't quite look as good as suspension, but body lift is a lot cheaper. Wait a little bit and do the gears. That way you use can get better use of the stock power at the wheels.
BTW, spend the money and get BFG Mudterrains!!! Anything else is baby shit. Swampers ain't shit dude.

would 35 fit with out a body lift? or would it be best to go with 33's and im trying to stay on the stock rims.
how much do gears cost?

Being a Ford tech for 5 yrs all i could tell you about that truck is that stock they are incredibly reliable. Hardly ever had problems with those trucks unless someone actually jus broke shit. The stock wrangler rt/s tires cup and feather like no other, but if you are gonna put offroad wheels and tires you won't worry about that. I dont know of any mods for the 4.0 sohc, but its strong enough stock for the application really. Anymore power and the tires jus burn up in that lil truck anyways. That engine is jus a good engine. Maybe do the k&n intake.

ive found that the tires are some shit. its hard as shit for me to get traction on the slitest hill in the rain... and they have about 80% of tread on it yeh this truck is very reliable but would like some bigger tires and some little more vroom. does anyone make a bed cover for it that is cheap?

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
If it were me I'd save $$$ and upgrade to what you want (LS1?) rather than sink $$$ down a rathole.
