Ticking noise on highway sounds like a valve

My car a 1999 ls1 with 92,000 starts to tick pretty bad when i have been driving it on the freeway for a while. it has a descreened maf from the previous owner and fipk and tb bypass. i live in southern california so temperature should not be a factor. When i pulled over and let it sit for a short time to put some oil in it it went away but i had enough oil in it allready so then i topped it off. I noticed my oil pressure at idle is right at 20 and then when i am driving at like 1600 it is at like 25 or so. I run Mobile 1 10w 30. Any Suggestions?

Hey did you ever end up finding out exactly what the issue was? It was a long time ago I see. I?m having the exact same issue now and googled it. Then your post came up.

it will start light and start getting worse the more i drive it but when it sits for a couple of hours then it will go away.
