How to modify my car?
So far I got loudmouth exhaust. C5 corvette brakes. And LS6 Intake.
I only want to spend 3k or so though, and really do not want to go with headers, as with the lm exhaust the entire town will here it and I will get complaints, trust me, my snow-mo quad got the cops called on me a lot.
I got a M6 if that helps. Very compitent mechanic! Would like to have 400ish HP when done.

Listen if your gonna build a 400rwhp beast your gonna need some headers, its just stupid not to get them, but go with a valve train upgrade, oil pump, cam swap, port polish those heads, 4.10s, drag radials, a nice rear end and a good clutch, you can run 11s with that setup, but it wil lbe loud. Some suspension mods with that aswell.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
get a cam, headers and an electric cut out. When they complain, open the cut out and say "now which one do you prefer?"

What people are saying is true H/C, full exhaust, free mods and 4.10's w/ drag radials is all you can do from here.
But, if you want quiet you could go full headers w/ SLP Dual-Dual exhaust. It's the exhaust that SS Camaros and Firehawks shipped with, barely louder than stock.
Otherwise man, in all reality, just don't rev your car in your neighborhood, soon as your out of the area man just slam it. Your neighbors arehardly a reason to not mod your car, and as long as your car checks out on emissions, there really is nothing they can say.
My neighbors are much the same way on noise, I've been flagged down by my neighbors having them demand that I stop making so much noise. Being 18 they all automatically think I'm going to just drive the car into the nearest tree at 100+ mph anyways so they usually drop it... hahaha.
Anyways, gl with the buildup.

Ordered the slp longtube headers, and sub frame connectors. As for emmissions, Iowa has no emmissions testing ever. On my truck I cut the catylitic converters off. I have been reading on cams, a lot of wierd numbers that I do not understand. Doesn't anyone make one that is the optimum performance for a trans am?

Well thats a good question, performacne over driveability? if you drive this car on the street there are some cams you really dont wanna go with, best cams for a good 50rwhp gain and still very drivable would be like a 228-232 with a .584-.610 lift wit ha 112-116lobe separation. And of course a valve train upgrade is needed

i live at condo complex so i get the home owners assosiation called on me all the time but the thing i dont get is i'll be chillin in my garage at like 12 at night doing minor little things on my car and then all of a sudden i hear a damn harley roaring for miles damn near to the next town no joke but yet i dont here them bitchin bout them harleys. dont get me wrong they are badass but damn why do i get bitched at when i want to express my freedom of having a muscle car.
