still unsafe... seen 315s get unmounted while pushing the car on a turn... wasn't nice.
Also, you'll have better grip on well mounted tires than going the redneck approach and installing tires that are plainly too wide for the rim. You get better results w/ 275s on 9.5" wheel than you'll get cornering w/ a 315 on a 9.5"
get 2 sets of wheels and try it.
it's another choice between redneck bling vs safe/efficient performance.

the bumpstops and jounce spacer are together... the jounce spacer comes on the SS, and it should simply be removed for added suspension travel.
Then your wheels will hit on the quarter!

The proper term is jounce spacer, its not together, its either one or the other

Listen fellas, just because you can squeeze your tire onto the wheel and drive down the street doesn't mean it's safe.

I recommend everyone go ahead and ask their wheel or tire manufacturer in advance if you are considering running anything less than a 10.5" wheel with any 315+ tire.

I will gaurantee the 315s on 9" wheels I saw looked nothing like that^. They didnt buldge out at all. The guy has ran em like that for a couple years-no problems. If they didnt come off his rim I doubt they are comin off anyones-BUT-I would prolly go with a wider rim myself.

Thanks man! My 2 favorite colors on F bodys are RED and Black. I would have bought a m6 like yours but I just had spine surgery when I bought this car. LOL It was all I could do to test drive it. I had to get my dad to shut the door hahaha-I will never forget the guys face that rode with me(the previous owner) he looked at me like-"are you sure about this" hahahaha.

No I cant work on my car. I am lucky though because I finally(after a year) found a great mechanic who specializes in Fbodies and has really fair prices. The first couple of shops were totally trying to rob me because they thought I didnt know about cars because I was taking it there for simple things. I have always worked on my cars till this happened to me. Just really happy I found a good guy to deal with which is hard these days.

** The guy who runs the shop will do stuff like-he put on my billit grill for free when I took my car in last time.

    Brand of tire matters too.

Look at my new Goodyear 315's compared to my old Bridgestones. Bridgestones were mounted on 9.5 and Goodyears are going on 10.5 (I had the wheels widened 1")

And just for fun compard to 11.5 x 16 ET Streets:

Here is being bad with 315 on a 9.5" rim:
