    do i have to lift the motor for header install?

    just looked at some web site and they ssaid that some and most people lift there motor s to fit there new headers in . ill have a shop install them if that is the case . im just a gear head in the garage that know a lil.

    Depends. Some people do and some don't. I had to for my header install while others have no problems. Its just the way the engine sits over time. Like I had no problem with the steering knuckle clearance while some have to dent in their header for it to clear. Just depends. Only one way to find out...

    I have never heard anyone with Pacesetter, QTP, or Dynnatech have to lift the engine. LT1 - yes, LS1 - no

    I take back my previous statement. I had to jack the left side of the engine up and pull the tranny to the right side. Of course, these were QTP.
