Get used to it, change the sensor and hope it lasts a while, or unplug the sensor and live without the light altogether. If you really ant, you can pull it out and try to clean it up, it's just a few inches down from where you fill the rad up.

Yeah, and then your change oil light will come on after you just changed the oil.

yeah coolant lights tend to pop on and off once in a while. But if it's a recurring problem, could be the radiator cap not holding the pressure anymore and sending too much coolant back into the overflow.

Mine did the same thing and I replaced the sensor and have not had a problem since. The above options of cleaning, and checking the cap are the most common fixes if replacing is not an option. Or replacing does not fix it. I don't agree that it will happen over and over my car has 171,000 and it has only happened once.

hey guys i havent had this problem but i did with the change oil light after i changed my oil so i did something i never do check my owners manual lol, and the fix was right in the manual after you change the oil you have to reset the oil change light, by holding in your trip button for more than 30 seconds i think it was but i did this and has a problem since, i mean i was reving the engine and everything thinking maybe the oil hadnt got up to the oil light yet lol, i was glad i decided to actually read my owners manual. lol may not hurt to check your on this also. anyways good luck
thanks'ray
