Im doing a rebuild on my 01 2500 hd. Have an 04 lq4 from a previous truck of mine as the donor motor while the 01 limps around. Ive found a thread on the throttle bodies hitting the accessory bracket and the water pump and clearing a gen III but not a gen IV water pump. Are the angled adapters that holley sells for the 4 bolt to 3 bolt a potential fix for the water pump clearance issue? Do i have to cut a piece off the accessory bracket regardless? When i put the fresh motor together i will be getting all new sensors applicable for the 01 is there anything else i need to look out for? Motor is getting line honed, zero decked, and bored .010. Crank is good and just gets a polish. Forged rods and pistons factory stroke. Ls3 heads and intake.
Cam specs .601/.601 lift, 219/226 dur @ 050, 112 lobe sep. spring pressure @seat 130-150 lbs @ open 325-400 lbs. will the 42lb injectors work for this build? Hopefully someone can shed some light on these questions TIA
