Crank...a LS1 puts down around 290 to the wheels stock...with the LS6 conversion you will pick up around 50 to the wheels...the cost to RWHP is very good...slap a CAI and headers on there and your a beast....cheap...
bottom line....your putting down more than a stock LS2 no problem...and for the cost...you can't beat it.....
Now I'm gonna go and stir up some shit.......
IMHO and experiance....once you add over 75RWHP you need a new motor...the LS1/2's bottom ends are not built to take it reliably....from strictly a cost perspective you are better off if you just go 40X Iron Block and get over 150+RWHP N/A.....you will be much happier in the end and save a lot of money.....

Sarge the lsx bottom end's can take more than 75 extra hp bro. And don't be fooled by these LS2 LS6 heads 243 castings for they have the big heavy sluger valves in them and not the rare Z06 lightweight valves!

I think the LSX stock bottom ends can take a 150 shot....but they wont last long with those pansy ass rod bolts on there.....not long at all......

    Talking Ls1 in Ls6 dress

    Hey,

So tryin to keep up with the conversaion here, you guys go everywhere, the LS1 with LS6 heads, cam, and intake is a good combo.

I posted elsewhere that am changin my heads and FAST LSX 90mm intake, but for now leave the cam stock. I have Allen doing the tune for me and i will also monitor the A/f ratio for safe keepin. Fine tuning always scores more power and a smoother line.

On paper i should be around 375-405 flywheel Hp and in the neighboorhood of 350-380ftlb.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

In any case stock i spashed a BMW 540 and a Merc E???. The two of them were dualin and i took them both on the inside. My next goal is to play with the big boys...Z06, Father is gettin one and can't let him get off passin me easily...Good news is i have till the end of Jan to "soup it up"

With a Allen Nelson tune you'll be north of 400 across the board....with that setup...
