If you run a regular registration plate - yes. They have an antique registration plate in PA which avoids inspections, however, that does come with use restrictions.

Used to be the classic tags needed inspection also. Had a mileage and I think night restriction on them

Went offroading in my brother's A2 yesterday afternoon. Took some old logging roads up a mountain just down the road from our house. Almost ended up walking when an attempted creek crossing went awry.

It was annoying having it up high. Probably wouldn't be as bad now that he has the top on it, but I was not a fan.
