Sometimes I wonder if GM really wants to sell cars. I see cool commercials for the Mustang doing donuts in the wet, but I almost never see commercials for the GTO. No wonder the GTO is leaving production this year. I've heard plenty of people say they had no idea that the GTO had 400 hp.

My take is, if you're not buying a truck, GM doesn't really care about you.

I saw that marketing clip also, it made me want one, to be honest. It sounded sweet, and had a little modern cam thump to it. Why couldn't GM do that kind of marketing for the performance cars it has put out? I would love to see a new vette doing donuts and taking off hard from a stop light, just like the next guy.

Maybe GM needs to hire some Ford marketing people??? Are you listening Rick Wagoner? (GM's current CEO) Maybe if you had an account on an LS1 site and LISTENED to the consumer, GM wouldn't be having financial problems.

Let me run marketing, every ten minutes you will see the new Z06 burning 'em off through 3 gears, on every channel.

it's tough to run ads when as a corporation GM is bleeding a $25 million loss per day.

Lol...I remember last year sometime reading where they did have a cool comercial with a new Vette haulin' ass through a city street in a "dream scene" that a kid was having, but they (GM) pulled it not long after showing it because some soccer Mom got to bitchin' and wrote a letter or something to GM saying it was setting a "bad driving example" to kids..... Hell, that commercial on tv for the '98 T/A (called "Stoplight") is what made me and the wife go buy one! Advertising WORKS!!!
