    Cruise control module

Hi, I was looking around tonight under my hood, and I can't find my cruise control module. I have cruise. I found one of the wires attached to the throttle linkage that went back from the linkage, crossed under the cowling to the drivers side, then kind of around the brake booster, then down under front fender kind of where the AIR pump is. The cable passes between the headers and the heat shield near the steering knuckle. So, im sure the prev owner messed with it. Is the cable long enough to relocate it under the bumper by the AIR pump? I have been looking on here to see photos of it in its stock location, and couldn't find any. Is it supposed to sit near the battery?

from factory it sits close to the a/c bottle. There is a mod that hides it behind the PCM. The wire you describe sounds more like the accelerator cable.

Do you notice if the other cable in the throttle linkage goes to the cowl area kinda to the passengers side? if it does then they did the mod and it is located behind the PCM. to access it you have to remove the PCM. Disconnect the battery, disconnect the 2 plugs to the PCm and you will see 2 botls at the bottom of the PCM. Remove the bolts and remove the PCM.

This is the write up about the mod. maybe will give you a better idea to identify the mod.

TCS and Cruise Control Module are not the same thing.

I don't know the answer to the question (where is the module located), but if he has two cables attached to the Throttle Body, then he has Cruise Control, but not Traction Control.

correct. thats why i mention that the cruise control module could be behind the PCM if they did the relocation mod.

I dont have traction control, and i cant see the cruise control module behind the pcm. There are two wires that lead to the throttle body. One goes thru the firewall by the gas pedal, the other is prob 8' long and goes around the engine compartment. Im assuming the ccm is by the AIR pump. Sounds like the prev owner replaced the cable with a longer one, and moved it. How long is the cable supposed to be? I dont like it running all over the car. Can i coil up all that extra cable and zip tie it by the pcm? Im talking about moving it behind the pcm. The cable is between the heat shield and the headers right now. . Im sure this will be a problem after i put in my lt's.
