Changed my shifter and added shift boot

Thanks for posting this! I need to get one cause I'm so tired of hearing those plastic pieces rattle all the time!

Your welcome. You can also put white litium grease in the area were it slides on the shifter assembly and it will help with the noise. I'm sticking with the T handle for now, lots of people like it more.

no offense,but IMO the T shift doesnt look as good with the boot,as the grand am shift,I like your idea,it really looks awesome,I may be doing this as well im going to pull a part & buy one from a 97-03 grand prix,97-05 grand am,or 95-99 bonneville but im losing the T shift tho! BTW gr8 write up

Did the same mod on Z28, I used a shifter from a a 97+ Grand Prix, it's a little bigger but looks better IMO, I tried the same one you did from a Grand Am and a few others but in the end I was happy with the Grand Prix one. The boot looks way better than the stock stick showing. Good write up.
