Shorty or longtubes???
Im trying to make up my mind on which header to buy. Long tubes or shortys? Is there a difference in performance between the two?

LT's if your state allows them. Mids give min gains. Delete Rear O2's. You will need a tune to get rid of CEL. Frost is our resident tuner and a sponsor.

HUGE difference between shorties and longtubes....shorties offer little to no gain over stock manifolds

If your really in Florida, as you should know. We don't have emissions to worry about. Go ahead and get the long tubes. Just stay away from the SLP's, I had them on my 98 and they was way to low. Would scrape them on everything.

Here in florida there are no emissions, gotta love it!! It looks like long tubes it is. I was wondering if there was a performance gain to each style and like always LS1 members come through. Thanks everyone

performance gain from one brand to the next is minimal, its more about clearance/fitment/cost.....let us know your budget and well be able to direct you towards the best lt's for the money

Im not willing to drop a grand on headers when I would rather get a nice cam package. I was looking at pacesetter, the price is cheap and Ive heard they perform well. Im eventually getting a head and cam package so i will need the headers. At one point I was gonna boost the car but I think I want to stay all motor

if you plan on a decent size cam/head package go with 1 7/8''.....pacesetters are great when on a budget and get them coated if you want.

I also suggest a shift kit and stall to really wake the car up. Will be nice with a cam also. SFC's is a must.
NVM, you have an M6.
