Yup, the new plates are just gay. Just keep renewing your old plates(current) which look somewhat decent; I'm planning on doing it. The current plates look pretty good IMO:

Ny state's plate was some form of orange and blue for nearly 60 years so the color combo is nothing new to NY. Although I feel for you guys cause those colors suck. I think all license plates should be white with only the letter color changing state by state.

Do you have in your respective states the option for 9/11/2001 vanity plates? In CA we do. It costs like $15. They are pretty bad ass looking.

In CA we have lots of different style plates. The firefighter plate logo (Backdraft) was donated by Ron Howard when he found out that the proceeds went to the Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll just stick with the plates I've got now.... I really wanted to secure one of the vanity names I picked out but with ghastly colors like the new plates have.... I think I'll just have to live with what I've got. Stupid state, they wanted to do this to raise money and now it's got people like me forgetting about vanity plates because it won't look good. Bye Bye annual plate fee. /facepalm
of course I did hear that the new plates were mandatory and that there is a 40 dollar fee to get them.... if THAT is true then vanity plates here I come... because if I need to pay 40 dollars for some random combination of letters on that ugly thing it better be letters of MY choosing.
