    Best Price on Rear

    Finally broke the 10 bolt.
So ready to pull the trigger on a replacement.
Anyone know of a good deal on a Strange 12 bolt?
I will consider a 9" if the price is right.

Speedincdotcom is worth looking at, they offer the Strange 12 bolt and some potential upgrades to it.

Might also talk to Mark at KYSpeed, I didn't see any offered on their site, but he might have a way to get you one at a deal.

exoticperformanceplus dot com $2450 base price, I added $70 for the drain/fill plugs and $175 for the 4 channel.

The $70 for drain/fill is worth it.

Most of the people I talked to said to just stick with a nodular iron center section, and don't waste the money on the sway bar brackets as UMI/Spohn make better bolt ons, if you're over 600hp get the back brace for insurance.

I need double adjustable LCA's to get the rear centered, it's strait back 5/8" on each side, Stock Drive shaft had no vibrations at 78mph yesterday, I have 110 miles on her, gear noise is minimal.

Get the 9" Ed, you'll never have to buy another rear or worry about it

I know. They have been trying to get me into a MWC rear. And that it is close to the same price as a regular 9"

If I could get into a MWC with a driveshaft for under $3000, it would have been ordered already.

i hear ya on that. personally ed..for what it matters ...i would go with the mwc fabbed 9 or the m9 ..it will be more of course ...but 1. they look b.a 2. they are as light as a 10 bolt. 3. for the mwc it is highly customizable 4. the fit is amazing on them.

If I planned on racing it alot, there would be no question I would get it.

But I can get a used 12 bolt for half the cost.

I will talk to MWC one more time. Maybe their base model would be under $3000. It should be stronger than a 12 bolt. I can get the DS later.

Its the same length. I just want to replace it since it will be the weakest link. It is still the stock DS with stock u-joints

I just have a plain jane Moser 9", should have stated that. Compared to a new 12 bolt Moser, it was cheaper. I have a lid only LS1 and I only plan on doing heads/cam/LS6 intake, enough to get down to the 11's and maybe 450 hp, more like 405 when I'm done... I want to keep the car streetable and enjoyable enough so my wife can drive it as well. I'm ran 13.22 with a 2.2 60' on the one wheel wonder 10 bolt, I expect on MT ET's and the 9" I'll drop to the 12.9 or lower with the gear change as well. I need a converter next, just have to pick the cam to make sure they match up.

there are guys running the stock drive shaft w/o issues, bills98ta standing the wheels up with a stock drive shaft is reensureing. I had questions about the stock drive shaft but with almost 200 miles and no vibration what so ever so far, I'll wait till it breaks or I find a used aftermarket at a good price. I had to swap to a differnt rear universal joint for the 9"

I couldn't remember what the sale was....and when I looked for it I couldn't find it again. I would think in general you're looking at $2600-$2800 for a new rear. Since you're out there you may find someone that's close enough to where you can pick it up and save freight. Freight for mine was pretty dang expensive..... couple hundred dollars.

    So far a S60 with a DS is $2700. A MWC 9" with a DS is $3700.

I am leaning towards the S60
