    This is wife car.she want"t know any better . Before looked like rust bubbles. bought from son ,he got 2010 ss.Has borla exhaust ,k&n cold air intake ,some other thing in air intake.SPECIAL radio dvd player,SUPER BIG speakers,Programer,custom 'stock setting,special thermosta.40,000miles he bought new.     My understanding was that the issue started 99 and carried til 02. Don't think 98's or earlier had this issue.

    so let me get this straight, the sail is actually glued on? I have some of these bubbles starting as weel. I just figured water had gotten behind the paint and started to rust the panel.

    It's the glue GM used.

    tommy, was ebay the only place you were able to find the halo cover? having some issues digging one up online. also when you installed it, did it jack up any of car's "lines"? kinda seems like it may add some bulk across the original sail. Can't really tell from your pic.

    no It is so thin.was a perfect fit.7/8 3 m tape.Thats what body shop use to put sail on.Go ebay look under corvette c6 carbon fiber halo.there is a company making them for vettes,should be able to call them about Z.Halo plus shiping $ 400.Tommy

    hell ya man, i just finished a ten month pump in al anbar back in october. Rotating to cali here in a couple weeks then prolly off to afghanistan next jan. Glad to see you served man
