I still have to cut and mount the top tranny panels, but it came along pretty good this weekend. Yes this is going to be a daily driver.....or atleast will be till I get my beater on the road lol (front wheel drive 1.6l 69 Chevelle

Got another thread going "another diet" in the GTO section too that is a little more up to date.

New firewall is in and painted, full new/ custom front suspension is in and painted, the floor boards are in, and tonight I started taking parts off the engine to clean and repaint it...so its moving right along!

Ok, got a few more pics for you!

Engine is all cleaned up and painted, firewall, front frame, front suspension is all painted and back together, all I need to do up front under the hood still as far as fab work goes is rad support and sway bar!
Engine is moved back exactly a foot, do we are getting closer to 50/50!

That's a awesome job brother! Love the solid motor mounts, not to mention the firewall. Really like the black motor, loved the polished parts but it looks killer.

I used the stock GTO aluminum engine mounts and tied them to frame stubs, then on the front of the heads, just "think" front plate/ strut tower brace, so it holds everything together and won't allow twist

Been real busy chasing the wifey, kids and working in the garage here lately....since my last post I have the engine/ ecu harness cut down with just a few wires hanging out of the loom for ground, key power, battery hot, speedo, and data port for tuning!

got the front clip bolted/ rivited/ welded together with the back of the Fenders cut off ready to be mounted to the body, and the main body is just about ready for primer

I'll be posting up more pics here soon! I promise!
