    OP: ...sorry.

The only reason I didn't do the decal is because I wanted the whole thing black (inside the scoop as well as outer part)....and I didn't want a pinstripe.

    Just got one more question
After spraying them, how much clear did you put on it? (if any)

If i remember i put 2 coat...but you can put more if you want....because of the metal flake , the paint wont be smooth...and it come almost empty, it srpray more flake...so you have to spread even on the wheels...whit 1 can, i made 2 wheels...

you can use the gell aircraft stripper to take the factory coating off...takes a lot of work though. i did it before i coated my wheels. you will need a good pressure washer to do it though, so its not the easiest method, but alot better than sanding

if you prep them right and use a quality epoxy sealer and quality paint they should last a long time.

I painted my ss wheels, matter of fact still sittin out back because i got the deep dish zo6 wheels now. But for about A hundred dollars i bought car paint and reducer in quart sizes and sprayed them out of an air compressor work great for me . I also used airplane stripper which can be found at kragen or any auto part store. I also painted some zr1 wheels which are in the back too ,but i used spray paint, i believe rustoleum not sure. Its still holding up but seems to be fading a lot more rapidly and a little chipping in areas. So for me air compressor and car paint was the best and cheapest route.

Hey NeedsaZ06, I was really enjoying your tutorial on the 10 spoke wheels...were you planning on finishing it? Really interested on how you polished the face of the spokes!
