Did you do any finishing to the front of the spokes or did you leave them silver?

    Back on track....

When you lay the tape on the spoke, start at the center of the wheel and work out. When your laying it make sure your tape is flush with the edges on each side. Do this on all ten spokes. The next step takes alittle more time and effort. The idea of taking a straight piece of tape and making a curved line with it might seem easy to you, but its no easy task to make prefect.

When Going around the outside edges of the facing you want the tape to run the edge just like on the spokes. You want to only use a couple of long pieces to run the diameter of the wheel. the more small pieces used allows a break in the tape and could allow paint to run into those areas.

when laying this tape in a curve it tends to bend on the back side and curve up. this is ok. You will only have about half of the width of the tape stuck down, the other half will be raised. If its easier to think of, the tape will almost be making a 90* off the wheel.

Now... you should have the facing of the wheel 90% covered.

The edge of the wheel between the spokes and the lip will need to be covered with the 2" tape. The tape will be slid under the section of tape you just put down....you remember the back half you left up. You will be raised section to the 2" tape and then allowing it to cover the exposed section of the wheel. The 2" tape should be wide enough to hang over the edge. it does not need to be stuck to the wheel. You will need it left up to help cover the tire.

For me i painted them in Gun metal Grey and i keep the outside lips silver...It was not difficult to do but it take me some time in prep!
But they turned pretty good i think!

I have used some spray paint that i bought at Canadian tire...something like Pep boy'S..it was special paint for rims and i put some coat of clear coating on them for protection...
It's been 3 years now and they are still looking realy good, but they can chip if you it them...

Dind go with powder coating ...was on a tight budget!! and its more fun to do it your self
Well i sanded them by hand...i just sanded the spoke and center section....
i taped the outer lips and inside of the wheel (was to lasy to paint them completly) LoL...
and then paint them with some RIMS and WHEELS spray paint..difficult to see in the pics but it have some metal flake in the paint so it kind make them sharper in real.... i have used 2 cans for the all 4 wheels...
and after 2 coats of clear....
but make sure to wait a couple of days before the clear coat..cause the one i used eat the paint when i put it on the first time...needed to sand and start again!!

I have used Dupli-color wheel paint HWP102 Graphite

And how far did you go sanding them down? (320 grit, 400, 800?)
Would you mind if i copy you?

Absolutely no problem man... at first since it was my first time doing this I started with a very small grind like a wet sanding...lol doesn’t take me long to figure out that I could sand them all day long and nothing will happen!!

So I went bigger..Don’t remember what size but I sanded them just enough to make the paint stick on the existing clear...
Check my cardomain for more pics of the rims and car
