Updated: Just Out Of The Booth
Was black, now its Copper Kandy with a Maple pearl, and I finally put my Splitter on. Here's a few. I have many more pics of the process from beginning to end. It took us a little over 3 weeks, and we're still not completely done with plans. Let me know what you guys think and if I should post any more pics. Thanks.

I like the tint also but it gets me in a lot of trouble. It is red faded to black with a silver backing. With out the backing the tint looks pink. cost me $100 per window so I am afraid that a police officer will hand me a razor blade one of these times I have heard this been done to others

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I also wasn't sure about painting the car orange. I've always like SOM but it was also really hard for me to find the right shade of orange. I really got tired or people telling me that I should go with Hugger Orange. I'm not putting it down, but I wanted something different. It had to be a custom mix and had to have more depth. When I finally decided on a color we went all out. My buddy primered it, sprayed a copper basecoat, 8 coats of copper Kandy w/ the maple pearl and finished it with 4 coats of clear. It was done by a buddy of mine who has painted many bikes and cars here in Pensacola. He's got a complete paint booth and shop on his property. He does professional quality work, but only does it on the side. And thanks BirdCountry02, I did get the splitter from www.6literereaterdesigns.com. Thanks again for all of the compliments.

Hey SteelCityTA, what color is your car? I really like that blue. Before I decided on going with the Copper Kandy, I was looking at going with Viper GTS Blue, or HOK Kandy Cobalt Blue.

Flame Red / Orange Custom- 1998 Trans Am
I have to say who ever painted it did a really nice job! Looks sweet I think you should post up some more pics of the process. I paint cars for a living so I know all about what you did but its nice to see it go through the process. By the way did you take doors, hatch, & hood off and re-spray the door jams, hatch jams and engine bay? Also nice choice in color it looks... well bad ass. Nice job again!

We took off the side view mirrors, rear spoiler, headlight covers and headlamp covers. Since it's a Kandy, we didn't disassemble everything so that the kandy would be even on the whole car. We did do the door jams and hatch jams. We did take the hood off, but instead of painting the Kandy on now, he airbrushed some custom touches underneath. We're doing the underhood and engine bay when we pull my motor and put in my ls2 or ls3. Thanks. My buddy who did all the painting has the SD card that has everything. I forgot to get it from him tonight, but he's posted them on several painters forums. I really appreciate the compliments. I will post them tomorrow when i get the SD card. Thanks again!
