    Hopefully you'll kiss and tell...

What's up with the stealth sub fiberglass boxes. How did you do that? Is it ported? It doesn't look like fiberglass. My only guess would be to lay in plastic, fill in with foam, let the foam set, then use this as a form for laying fiberglass over. Looking at it, I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. Hopefully this isn't an ancient Chinese secret. It's an OUTSTANDING installation, and just what I was looking for, but right now it's a mind boggling mystery!

first, its a sealed box and it is fiberglass....and would be extremely difficult to make if you havent had any experience w/ glassing.....i didnt make a mold or anything...just made it right in the car...taped up the area, layed down aluminum foil, taped over that, then soaked that w/ resin applied a layer of glass, soaked on some more resin...then allowed that to dry overnight....the next day i removed it from the car and added 4 layers of glass and resin...then using 3/4 mdf i made the faceplate(i routed the edge so the sub is flush mounted)...and proceded to apply that to the mold using glass and resin.....after that i used a mix of resin-body filler to seal up the inside of the box...and another thin coat on the outside...after this had dried i applied a black rubber coating to the outside...wrapped it in carpet and dropped in the sub...also for the wires i just used a spare terminal cup i had laying around.....found a flat spot on the side, dremeled out a hole and glassed it in

how did you mount the amp rack? I have a similiar set up that I had bought from a website a few years back, but they had me use self tapping screws to screw it into the car. Well after having to wire and rewire and things from upgrading stuff, my amp rack has began to fall apart. I like the way you seemed to have mounted it. Let me know what you did. Also, where did you get the carpet from? Thanks

You can see in the pics, I used threaded galvanized steel bolts, you remove the rear tail light panel , drill the holes the bolt them down....then you have2 make brackets on the back of the amp rack to secrue it to the bolts......i work at a car audio shop....thats where the carpet came from....you just have2 look for a stereo shop near you....or you can get it online somewhere
