Not to mention, the registration that you must have in hand during the smog in California will show the year of the car as well. Oh and the insurance has to match the year vin etc...

The insurance folks put an S in the vin instead of 5, my registration was kicked and I had to pay penalties because it was late. My payment with paperwork was sent to DMV over two months early. Double check your numbers before you send in the paperwork. Make sure all items match. DMV puts the ownship on you to get it all correct and matching. It's getting really hard to highly modify cars for the street. It's all about green in Cali these days.

Last of the breed wasn't a understatement ....

because within 10 days of claiming residency, you have to register your car here. I have been getting the registration from Illinois for the past 3 years......

An intake isn't that hard to take off and replace. It's a lot easier then going through all the BS and having to pay extra etc....

Once smogged you won't have to do this except every two years. Or get an intake that accepts a EGR.

Don't forget a motor lasts longer with a EGR. It helps to burn exhausts acid gases and saves the engine and oil breakdown if I remember this from my auto classes correctly.

If a motor lasts longer with egr then why did they delete it in 01-02? Also trying to install my ls6 intake, I failed and had to have it towed so someone else could do it.....long story........

Clg82 - The only thing I can think of is they vented the gases or are burning them some other way?

Anyways, best of luck. Let us know what you come up with.
