Because they are 7 years old at minimum.

They stopped making them a while back. The cars that were going to be made are already made. I can't see them increasing in value at all because the line is dead 7 years later.

that is very true but all the old muscle cars back in the day went up in value so you never know what might happen to ours.

Those old muscle cars are now 35 or 40 or 45 years old. If you hang on to yours in original unmodified condition it might be worth a lot in about 2050. Hopefully, they'll increase in value but I'm not expecting much anytime soon.

I just hope that GM stays afloat. And for that fact, Chrysler too.

It really is a shame, but we could see it coming. Let's just hope this new camaro sticks around awhile. The more people buy camaros, the less mustangs we'll see... Thank god for that!!!

plus if i'm not mistaken they'll have to keep parts around for the 100k/10 year warranty

Did the Alero or Aurora jump in value when they killed Oldsmobile? A 98-02 T/A will sometime around 2032.

Even though I have never been a fan of Pontiac, now that they are no longer operating, I am interested in buying a Trans Am if someone wants to sell theirs. I am also willing to pay $500-1000 more than your asking price since they are no longer being produced.

I wonder who really made this decision? GM and Chrysler took loans from the GOV. and now the GOV. is pretty much running thier operations. It's been pretty widly speculated that MAObama pushed GM's former CEO out just to replace him w/ one of his goons. For all we know GM had plans to reinvent and make cool cars but BIG BROTHER said no we'll run your company now. This is what we have to look forward to.

I went through this sadness once before with Oldsmobile, and now Pontiac.
Pretty soon GM will just be Chevy and Cadillac. I hate this bad economy BS.

    You have until 2012.
10 year shelf life as I understand it.

Of course, with the LSx series still being made, several parts will make it past that 10 year mark for the motor.
