lifting your car?
So, I need some advice. I've been trying to find a way to jack my car up to place on jackstands in my garage but have not had much luck.
My car has bmr springs for a one inch drop and subframe connectors along with 315 rear tires, so to lift the back I almost always have to jack it up from the rear. If I jack it from the subframes it seems like the jack will still pickup half the car, but in a less safe manner.
As of right now, I have to drive up Rhino Ramps to jack my car up, but that means taking it out of the garage, since they slide on the smooth floor in the garage.
I went to Sears and bought a badass 4 ton low profile jack (goes from 4 in to 20in), but that still cannot jack from the rear, and it also won't reach my subframe connectors to jack from there.
Anyone else who has done car work in there garage, please give me some advice on how you handle these issues.

The only way you can is using the ramps, or if you have access to a shop then using their lifts. This is one reason why I never cared to lower my car.

...yeah, you could do that too. But he has the ramps.

I might try the wood. I got ramps, but I have to get it out of the garage to use them. I can't back up on them as they slide in the garage on the smooth floor.
I ended up taking that nice floor jack back and got my money back this morning.
This looks pretty sweet, although I can't find any stores that sell it. Shippings more than the unit.

i use a lo provile jack under the SFC's and never had an issue. Even put the car on 4 stands all at the weld points for the SFCs and it stayed there for weeks w/out issues.

What's the info on the jack you used? I'm trying to find a better jack. The Craftsman I bought was low profile as well, but didn't make it all the way to the SFC's.

Now lube yourself up for the price.

The specs on that jack are unbelievable! A min of just over 2" and a max of 24"....I want that jack!!! Not exactly the most inexpensive jack around though lmao...
Still, if it's a high-quality jack, and you're going to be using it all the time, it'd be worth the price.....

use your factory jack to lift up one corner. Then when you have that up, you can easily jack up thr rest of your car with your floor jack. i had the same problem, but this worked great.
