Red face '00 SS Clutch VS. '02 WS/6 Clutch

Question for the techies out there!

My brother owns a slick '00 SS and his clutch pedal feels much stiffer than mine, which I like. It is much easier to start off in first, as well as on hills, it feels less likely to stall. After driving his, then going to mine, the WS/6 clutch pedal feels a bit soft which makes it hard to gauge the friction point as well as starting from an incline can be a PITA. The WS/6 has 30,000 miles on it, and I know the clutch is good because it grabs hard and stays strong through out hard shifts.

Soooo, the question I have is this: Are the clutch mechanisms any different between these two years? and would bleeding and changing out the clutch fluid increase the stiffness in the pedal?? I WANT A STIFF PEDAL!! Thank you for your time!

Starting in 01 (and therefore 02 as well) the T56 f-bodies came with the LS7 clutch, which will hold more power than the 00 clutch can. The soft(er) pedal is normal. Don't worry about your soft pedal. just be happy you have a better setup!

I believe he means ls6 clutch in which he would be correct. Also starting in 01 they got updated hydrolics(master and slave).
