Header recommendation?
May be in wrong section, sorry
Okay so I'm getting quite a bit back for taxes and along with paying the car off I'd like to upgrade the exhaust. Budget: around 1200ish?
Option 1: Texas speed headers. I've heard they are awesome headers and I don't mind throwing the 500 for them. They offer a true dual exhaust setup with them for 400 extra but they cut off before the exhaust....I don't need to worry about emissions but I would like a decently tame sound.
-If I wanted, could I have a muffler shop fabricate a custom true dual over the axel exhaust with tips or is the texas speed design the only peice that will work?
Option 2: Pacesetter Headers (coated) $435
I get the more common headers with a more common "Y" pipe design from Magnaflow or somewhere.... Maybe throw in electric cutouts or something with the money I "save".
I havent looked into other header/ exhaust systems so if you have another setup that does you well please share it.
this is the car

The 700 is for the dual/dual tip. I like that look better
Kooks are too high and I can't justify 850 on headers alone but I would love stainless, do you know anyone that has the Texas speed headers? Jordan has convinced me that they are awesome headers but I want the best bang for the buck.

Pewter- 2001 Pontiac Trans Am
I suggest trying to find the magnaflow dual/dual tip on ebay. I bought mine there and was able to "make offers" and bring the price to around $550.
