Well it's DOT and SNELL rated so I think it's fine. I paid only $85 I think for mine. Went to the local Honda Powersports motorcycle shop and tried several on. I recomend doing this cause they all fit a lil different.

Not really.....................if you are really concerned about safety, keep in mind the design of motorcycle helmets and ones designed for vehicles.
There is a difference..................motorcycle helmets are designed to absorb one blow while helmets designed for vehicles are designed to take multiple blows (as in the case of rollovers)
