Wanna see what a 12 bolt looks like exploded?

Well, My 12 bolt exploded. It was a long time thing that happend over time. Im pretty disappointed. Not mad, just disappointed. Im surprised it ran at all. These pictures are viewer discretion advised. View at your own risk. It may make you ill. Made me chuckle when a handful of crushed washers and bolts fell into my hand when I took my cover off. I knew I was in for a treat. Enjoy at my expense LS1.

Where did my bolts go??

did the bolts just back out and get caught up in everything? Or did something else break? Either way that sucks

Looks to me the bolts backed out. Why? I dont know.

Dude, I dont have anymore money. Im trying to SAVE money. Ive spent thousands and thousands already. Im forced to try and re-build this 12 bolt. Buying a 9" just isnt in the question. Im trying to do other things in my life other then dump money into a car. Im pretty disappointed.

How much rwhp did you have? How much is the rebuild kit?

RWHP is appx numbers only, On a very rough tune. probably only 430. Similar torque.

Rebuild kit will probably be 500 bucks roughly.

Might as well do it right the first time.

Hi-Po is in a different situation though....his car came with this rearend. He didn't buy it.
I would have talked him out of the 12 bolt when he would have been buying a rear.
