Sebring Silver- 98 Z-28 camaro
LT1 related but I'm stumped - cam issue
I read that the dowel pin length has to be .620" long, well, this comp cam is much longer so whats the best way to get it down to the appropriate length? Can I just knock the pin into the hole a little more or do I need to take a grinder to it? It says for 95-97 LT1's the pin could damage the opti if it's too long, some advise?

You can try to knock the pin in to the correct length and if that doesn't work then you will need to grind it down. It can damage your opti if the dowel pin is too long. What happens is the dowel pin pushes against the rotor and cause premature bearing failure. HTH
