What did you do to/with your Camaro today?

A little car show prep. Found a local detailer that does house calls. Paint hasn't looked this good.....ever. Afraid to take it outside!

Hey Andy.....

Not unless they call me on Thursday night, lol. I did register but was too late....full show. Said screw it, time to start on these winter mods anyway. So yeah....fresh as new

Sucks. I was going to throw mine on on the MotorCity Gumball display... but they didn't need it apparently. Would have been nice to have free pass all weekend lol.

Yep....that was me. They called me on Monday. Not sure it was judged though. I left early on Friday night and locked it up....lol, they frown on that apparently because the judges came through after we left. I frown on people gettin too close to my ride when I'm not around soooooooo.......

Regardless, I got what I wanted out of the show.

Finished detailing it on saturday. Was doing a few panels the past few weeks. Finished dressing the trim, installing my bowtie vinyl on the steering wheel and putting on my replacement hood scoop vinyl on sunday.

Fogot to post these photos here. I just completed detailing my 02 SS.
I used:
Meguiar's D155 last touch as clay lube using a fine nanoskin autoscrub sponge
Meguiar's D300 with a microfiber cuttind pad
Meguiar's M205 on a white lake country foam pad
Adam's new liquid paint sealant
Adam's Brillinat Glaze
Adam's Buttery Wax

I also added the following changes:
-35th take off wheels purchaed through ebay
-Painted the center caps black and clear coated them. Wetsanded with 2000 and followed with 3000. Compounded with M105 and polihed with M205.
-Replaced the hood scop vinyl with a new one

The sail panel got Adam's Americana.

Been debating it for awhile. I had the black depo corners a couple years ago for the front and the black clears for the rear. The rears will stay red but if anything I will do the black depo corners for the fronts.

Changing some things up under the hood. Needed a few improvements

Put two front calipers on. Replaced the knock sensors and after putting it back tougher found out that I also broke the dreaded oil pressure sending unit. Tore the car down again replaced the sensor and now the car runs like a champ. Cleared all the codes and drove around for a bit and no codes returned. My first experience of working on the LS1 wasn't a great experience. But hey in the end it al worked out.
