No loss, only gain. I've owned the car for about 4 years now, and put on less than 5,000 miles. I've kept it insured and registered, fixed it when it neededit and then some, etc. Now I can use my money to pay off my truck, and take it off my insurance. All around win/win for me IMO. Will I miss it? Yeah...only until I get another someday.

Was doing 95 mph today for at least 25 min. on the highway coming home from work and didn't even realize it, when I looked down I was shocked. The motor was barley turning, was at like 2xxx rpm and it was just cruising along extremely smooth. These cars are so great man, I'm really, really loving mines so far.

Jeff - any idea what the benefit is of running an electric vac/boost gauge is that runs off the MAP sensor as opposed to the mechanical style?
Prolly a question I could post in my build thread. Seen one today and didn't have time to read up on it.

lowes had them on sale Jeff. Its gas, charcoal and wood. I can grill, boil, smoke, and eventually burn every meat known to man.

My guess: Mechanical style is going to have its own sender that will need to be plumbed into the system. Electrical would be an easier install, but may not be as accurate as a gauge with a dedicated sender. The output of the stock MAP sensor is calibrated for the PCM, and not the gauge, so there may be accuracy issues with a universal gauge.

That makes sense. The electrical gauge was like $200+ whereas the mechanical gauge is around $80. Most installs I've seen, and people I know always just use a mechanical gauge.
Thanks for the info.
