heres what im saying, i have seen my fair share of f bodys, old new whatever, and have paid attention to this bubbling sail panel thing, 99% of the time you have to really really look, and even then you can barely see these dimples,
if you guys are gonna bash gm over dimples, sell your f body to a kid who will aprecciate it, buy an integra and park in a big parking lot lean against the fender, and stand there just like all the dumb ass kids with a "fast car" or "show car"
    point proven!
Dimples? BullSh*t! It looks like rust pits. You really don't notice it until it's already through the paint! Apparently you have no clue what we are talking about. It's far more worse than dimples!

lol, whatever dude, maybe your car has another problem other then bubbling, why dont you start looking for rust if thats what it looks like,

out here in so cal, between my 2 ls1 cars, the bubbles were minimal.

These bubbles can get pretty nasty. Seen them pop look like holes in the paint.

I had the entire roof on my 98 SS replaced about 4 years ago. The car has always been garaged and driven on the weekends in nice weather. One day in the spring I pulled it out and took it for a drive and I noticed the bubbles. Drove to the dealership immediately and talked to the head body shop guy. He told me to contact GM directly and get a service order and bring it back. The whole process was faily painless.

it only gets worse, they tried to repair the old one first but the adhesive came through before it left the shop. The solvent in that batch is the issue, needs to be completely replaced.

ya at our bodyshop i tried to repair mine 2x sanding it pretty far down but the grease will keep comin through.. you gotta replace the whole panel... i believe the panel is about 500$ and its a pretty big job to change.... I believe someone earlier said they were quoted like 1200$

So, do we take it to the dealer and print off that recall notice? How does this work?

If your car still has some of the 6 year corrosion warranty you may have a chance at getting them to cover this under that. Otherwise I'd say your sol. Most people have better luck calling the GM hotline # (I did) in the back of the owners manual, dealership usually won't do jack to help you.
