This one took up about the space that a tool box would. Most of the bed was still available for use.

would this be something one would want to do on all gasoline motors....eg. tractors, lawn mowers, etc

2 cycle oil, synthetic
Wow, been awhile since anyone posted in here, including me....yes I still use the stuff from time to time, and yes I have use in my lawnmowers, motorcycles...Remember its only 1 oz to a gallon of gas, really very light, but it does the same IMHO as Marvel Mystery Oil...I still have my 2002 Dodge van and the stuff keeps the old fuelpump lubed and stops all the noise it use to make....spark plugs come out nice and clean and so on, mileage in that old van has always been poor and the TC3 stuff never helped that at all, but its nice to know it lubes all the injectors and such.
I never found out what happened to Old Sarge in here who started this thing,,he may have passed on by now.

I've been on this site a few years now but I wasn't aware of this thread. I've never heard of adding oil to gas except in 2-cycle engines. I went back about 4 pages in this thread. Sounds like something I should be doing but it just sounds weird to me. So, 1 oz of 2-cycle oil to 5 gals,, huh? Any special type I should be looking for??

Actually it's an old trick that's been around for decades. In the late 70's and early 1980's long after we lost leaded fuel we would pump AV gas from the local airport. Something I learned from old school hot rodders was to mix some Marvel Mystery oil in with it. Their terminology was that the gas was "dry"
Fast forward a bit and Lucas Oil fuel additive kind of did the same thing, but much more expensive and also more forgiving on it's dosage.
2 cycle engine oil with TCW-3 will accomplish the same results. I buy the cheap Tech stuff in the blue jug at Walmart, a gallon for $13 with TCW-3 on the label. At the mix ratio I suggested it treats about 600 gallons so it goes a long way and is much cheaper than the $30 a gallon Lucas stuff.

Thanks for the prompt reply guys ! I have 5 veh. I can use as a test bed. My 05 envoy w/ 170xxx + miles will see the most use. I'll try to report back in a while. I read some more of this thread further back -- it does get beat to death a bit but is consistant w/ the requirement of TC-W3 .... so , here goes !

Been running TC-W3 for a few years now. My wife definitely noticed a jump in mileage on her car. Like FBJ, I just grab the SuperTech brand at our local Walmart one (1) gallon at a time.

I'm here. I'm all good. Family is good. Still live down here in the Hill Country. Also built a new beach house a few miles outside of Port Aransas. Trying to slow down a bit

Hi folks,
I am new here. I did not want this thread to die out. It is legendary on the maxima.org website. Lots of members there advocate the use of TCW3. I have been using it for over 5 years with great success. I pulled my plugs at 50K and they look almost like new. All my emission tests are low, low emissions. My19 y/o car passes with low numbers every time. My latest NOX number was 22ppm. Thank you, Sarge and the rest of you.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
I have forgotten about this since I sold my old SS (was still running clean at 232k by the way).
This may be something I need to get back into with the new one and her WS6.
The main difference between then and now is direct injection, but that just means my valves on the 2016 won't see the benefits.
