    wickers sauce
    1 1/4 cups cider vinegar
    1 teaspoon black pepper
    2 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
    4 teaspoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon dry mustard

    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Combine all ingredients and cook for 5-10 minutes to dissolve spices. Use as a marinade and basting with your favorite BBQ recipe.

Copied and saved Kind of like a pulled pork sauce without the brown sugar...

I'll look at getting the strawberry's. Shipping is getting out of control. Deals just aren't deals anymore...

I always marinade in a bag with a twist tie. Not a zip lock bag. You can use far less marinade that way. Squeeze all the air out, twist and double up the end and close with a twist tie. Every part of the meat is covered that way.

I don't really do much marinade's really. Every now and then. I just use that wickers on the actual sandwich after it's made. I hose it down until the bun is soggy. I've had them with cole slaw on top too but just raw cabbage is pretty good too without having to make up the cole slaw. Actually, mom would make cole slaw and then just grate extra cabbage to have on the sandwiches. My wife started making this funky type of cole slaw last year that has vinegar, oil,a few other things that I don't know, and a pack of raw chicken ramen noodles added to it. She used the seasoning packet in the vinegar/oil combo. Pretty damn good and pretty unique. I was putting that on top of my sammiches last year and it was pretty good that way.

it does serve a healthy purpose though. Eat a plate full of those and they'll clean out your colon in no time flat.

    Or something

I like shredded cabbage used on a sandwich. It's a nice change from lettuce and adds a nice crunch. When I was a teen, I worked at a specialty sub shop one summer. We had a ton of crazy subs on the menu. Lots of good ideas.

there used to be a little burger shop in my town that put cole slaw on their burgers. Pretty good. Coleslaw, mustard, and pickles. Steak and shake out here has a burger pretty similar to it.

yeah, I watch it fairly often.

Hold off on trying that marinade just yet. Seems like I remember having to change it up from that recipe to get it like actual wickers. That recipe calls for cider vinegar and I could've swore I used to use regular white vinegar. We don't have white here so I'll have to go buy some more and try it before I eat all this pork. I'll let you know which vinegar it is.

OK. I don't think there is a huge difference though. I've subbed either if I'm out of one. But, I'll hold off on it just in case.

I've a couple roasts in the freezer. I was going to make up a batch of pulled pork, but, I'll try this instead.

I always serve it as sandwiches. Toasted French rolls, sometimes with garlic butter like garlic bread... That's good stuff
