Yes, the heads do flow pretty weak. For example, I bought this months Hot Rod magazine, they got a junkyard 2V from a crown vic, tested new TFS Heads, had the stock bottom end, and stage 2 npi cams, made 450@ the crank. Just shows how much they can be woke up with different heads.

i'm not even sure how they make 260 horsepower NET stock. the heads flow 160 cfm on the intake side, terrendous (terrible+horrendous). My 350 iron smogger lumps chevy calls cylinder heads flow just over 200 intake

5 or 10 cfm less, it's mostly the intake manifold and cams which you can do cheap

Yea, if I can remember correctly, you get about a 40hp or so gain from the PI intake swap, with custom cams to go along with it.

Guess we'll just have to see? I'm at a lost with that.

my est guess--- the 5.0 will respond well to boost after it has been built for it. right now it is too high compression to accept serious amounts of boost.

throw some low compression forged pistons in there and look out...

But it will like the gas in the N2O variety! Just like our famed high comp LSX's do.
