Played a heavy game of flag football with a bunch of young(er) guys that play in a league. I was NOT ready for that.

My younger brother called me last weekend to play football with him and his friends. I just found out they play every Saturday in a big field near my parents. I was out of town though (thinking this may have been a good thing).

I am thinking I would have probably gotten my ass handed to me. I am not sure if they even play flag or tackle. Knowing them, it may be tackle.

When I was just out of high school, me and some friends would play tackle football alot of weekends. I was in shape back then. But now at age 44 and playing against 20 somethings....wore me out. But don't misunderstand...I can still play the game with intensity.

Yeah...I pretty much sit at a desk and in front of a screen most of my 40 hour week too. I've never become too out of shape but definitely not IN shape. I started jogging a couple months ago and worked my way up to feeling good again.

Definitely play football with them as it'll get you back in shape. Just you'll be sore as hell after the first game or two.
