It works good for you because I am willing to bet you haven't tried much else.
Meguiars is miles ahead of that shit, and I don't think that Meguiars is all that great anymore.
Yea, i haven't used any other wax, it works fine for that truck, it really doesn't need any kind of special high end type wax, just needs something to give it a nice shine every once in a while. I get it dirty again within 4-6 days. No need in putting a lot of money into cleaning supplies for it.

But thanks though. And I actually think my dad uses Meguairs on his car, i may have to sneak some of out of his stash and test it out since it's miles ahead of the turtle wax

Really what it comes down to is technique.
Turtle wax may suck, but it will work okay with the right buffer, pads, and time.

I've used turtle wax it's ok. Used Meguiers and mothers as well there all ok. I use all 3 m pads, compounds, and swirls removers with a dewalt rotary buffer on my own cars as well as my shop cars. As far as waxes I use Butter Wax on my Ta since it only goes outside for cruises and meets and to prep. cars before local shows. Doen't last long but goes on easy, comes off easy, and leaves a great deep shine. On my truck and regular cars I use Wizards Paint Sealant leaves a better shine than auto part store waxes and lasts almost a year. They also make a good spray wax and black restore for plastic, actally got some wax off my door trim on my trailblazer that has been on there since I bought it.
